Course Description
DANCE 101  - Introduction to Dance  (Open to All Grades 9-12)

Emphasizes basic ballet techniques, and introduces Contemporary, Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop, Broadway styles through studying the history and also the movement. Involves body toning exercises, physical fitness, cardiovascular endurance, and strength, memorization and flexibility. Students learn short dance routines. Focuses on classical styles of dance as well as current social or popular dance trends.
